Amid a flurry of social media drama, a new report confirms that Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks) has run out of time on General hospital. Rumors of this supposed departure started to swirl a few weeks ago. Now, not only has one outlet confirmed it, but they’ve also determined when its last episode will air. The belief is that Rademacher left the soap opera rather than getting the shot.
Ingo Rademacher is officially released
According to TV line, Rademacher’s resistance to complying with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate was the catalyst for his departure. The General hospital The actor has made no secret of his feelings about the tenure over the past several months. Ingo believes in medical freedom and he stands up for his convictions. The show put in place a mandate on vaccines, and that mandate would now be in place. Ingo Rademacher said: “I will be by your side to fight for medical freedom”.
The General hospital The latest episode of Star will air soon
General hospital spoilers suggested that Rademacher had already filmed his last scenes. Now that seems to be the case. TV line detailed that the last episode of Rademacher with him as Jax will air on Monday, November 22.
What kind of shipment will Jax receive? General hospital spoilers have yet to reveal the scoop on that front. However, the teasers of SheKnows soaps which cover the episodes through November 18 do not refer to Jax at all.
Jax may just make it home to Australia without much noise. Rademacher has come and gone on other occasions in the series before during his 20-plus-year career as Jax, so this time can be relatively low-key. So far, it doesn’t look like the writers are going to kill Jax or anything particularly juicy. It is certainly possible General hospital could recast the role, but most fans would probably say there’s really no need at this point.
The Screen Actors Guild developed the mandate
As TV line noted, the mandate is not a mandate created solely by ABC and General hospital. As the shows worked to resume filming during the coronavirus pandemic, SAG struck a “back to work” deal for the cast to follow. In part, he clarified that producers could use their discretion to demand that employees in “zone A” be vaccinated. Zone A included the actors and the film crew in the area where the filming was taking place.
Not all shows or networks need COVID-19 mandates at this point. However, General hospital reportedly set a deadline and rumors say Rademacher may not be the only actor choosing to step down. Additional confirmations are expected to emerge soon if someone else like Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has also completed their stay in Port Charles. As of this writing, Ingo has not confirmed its release.
