Michigan Radio is looking for a Digital Media Intern to help produce and enhance the content available on michiganradio.org, and to help grow the station’s social media channels as one of our ” digital hosts.
This paid internship ($12/hour) begins in May/June 2022 and ends in August 2022, with the possibility of extension.
We’re looking for candidates who want to dabble in a bit of everything: you’ll be working on original reporting for the web (so you need to have a good eye for news), publishing content from other sources like the AP or radio Michigan public. Network, create engaging photo and video content and graphics for our social media channels (must be aware of social media trends), and will have the opportunity to pitch ideas to help us expand our digital reach. On top of all that, you’ll work with a fun, growing team in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants should also have strong writing and communication skills and be self-motivated and reliable. Knowledge of multimedia software applications (i.e. Adobe Suite or Canva) and experience in photography/videography is a plus (sense of humor too!).

We are looking for someone who is available to work a minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week during normal office hours. There is potential for more hours. We have flexibility for remote work, but we operate on hybrid office hours. Please include the hours and dates available for work in your email.
