Kaithal: The employment-oriented supplementary course “Communication Skills and Soft Skills” launched by the English Department and the Career Guidance Cell of RKSD College, Kaithal, ended on Thursday with the distribution of certificates. Principal Sanjay Goel, Head of English Department, Prof. Rajbir Parashar, Course Coordinator Prof. Geeta Goel, Head of Career Guidance, Prof. Naresh Garg presented certificates to 26 students for successfully completing the course. In this, a total of 40 hours of lectures were given on related topics. The course focused on improving the skills required for the job – CV writing, mock interviewing and language related elements and body language meditation. Dr. Rajbir Parashar, Dr. Geeta Goyal, Dr. Suruchi Sharma, Dr. Naresh Garg, Prof. Richa Longyan and Prof. Rachna Sardana lectured as resource persons.

World Health Week celebrated

Karnal: Red Ribbon Club and Red Cross of KVA DAV College for Women, Karnal collaborated to celebrate World Health Day. A seven-day sensitization program was organized from April 7 to 14. Various events were organized during this week, including an awareness gathering on HIV/AIDS prevention, speeches, declamations and film screenings related to health issues. Manager Renu Mehta has left the rally. The students sensitized the inhabitants to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS. The principal said that citizens and students have a collective responsibility to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention. She also stressed that people with HIV should not be discriminated against because it is not a contagious disease. She said they needed solidarity and support. She said such events were necessary to raise awareness among the masses about important social issues. Red Ribbon organizers Dr. Manju Sharma and Red Cross Society Dr. Punam Kundu carried out the program.
