Seoul to resume all night subway services by August

Seoul, June 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) Night services on all Seoul subway lines will fully return to pre-pandemic levels by early August, after two years of curtailment due to Covid-19, operators announced Monday.

According to Seoul Metro and Korail, operators of the capital’s subway services, Line 1’s weekday operating hours will be extended from midnight to 1 a.m. from July 1, while Lines 3 and 4 will follow the August 1, reports the Yonhap news agency. .


On weekends and public holidays, metro services will run until midnight as before.

Line 2 and lines 5 to 8 are expected to resume end-of-hour services on Tuesday, while four commuter train lines in the capital region, including the Suin-Bundang line, are expected to do so on July 1, according to service operators.

The redevelopments will get all of the city’s metro lines back on track after overnight services were suspended since April 1, 2020, due to the pandemic and social distancing measures.
