BAE Urban Economics, Inc. is seeking an exceptional associate or senior associate level staff member to join our Washington DC office.
BAE has a vibrant national practice advising on urban development, public-private partnerships, revitalization strategies, affordable housing, economic development, fiscal impact and public finance. Our main clientele are public bodies, particularly cities and local government bodies. Associates work as a team to perform technical analysis and reports. Associates must plan and execute analytical tasks, prioritize multiple tasks, and complete deliverables in a timely manner with creativity and attention to detail. We are looking for a partner or senior partner who is passionate about the work we do, enjoys intellectual challenges and is keen to learn and grow professionally.
The Associate position requires:
- Master’s degree in urban and regional planning, business administration or another related field
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Understanding of the real estate development process
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills in analyzing cash flow, tax impacts and demographic trends
- Very strong professional writing skills
- Driving license and ability to travel
The Senior Associate role requires the above qualifications plus an additional two to three years of Associate-equivalent work experience.
Skills and experience in GIS, IMPLAN and SPSS are desirable, as is a working knowledge of the greater Washington DC/Baltimore metropolitan area.
