Nation’s Toughest Vaccination Mandate + Fiery and Fatal Pileup

Hello Los Angeles residents! It’s me again, Paige Austin, your host for the Los Angeles Daily.

The Dodgers beat the Astros on Wednesday, and the Los Angeles students are savoring their final summer days before heading back to school in a few weeks. Los Angeles city and county leaders are quickly pushing forward measures to require vaccines for city workers while considering vaccine requirements for customers looking to eat out, work out, or even just to do their shopping. The measures, among the most aggressive in the country, reflect the growing threat from the Delta variant, which has infected more people in Los Angeles County on Wednesday than on any day since early February.

First of all, the weather forecast for the day: Clear all day. High: 87 Low: 63.
