Our PR team is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to start immediately for the fall semester 2021. As a Mega Mega intern, you will work closely with the founders of the company and the rest of our growing team. Our internship program is intended to give participants an in-depth understanding of the fashion public relations industry through detailed training and hands-on experience, thus preparing you for an entry-level position in the fashion industry. The ideal candidate will be available to work at least 2 days a week in the NYC showroom.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship. College credits can be provided.
Responsibilities
Public relations interns will work alongside the public relations team to help, but not be limited to:
• General assistance to the team
• Sample traffic
• Maintain the organization of the showroom and the inventory
• Help with inventory tracking via Fashion GPS for press runs and shoots
• Monitor celebrity images and social media posts
• Find stylists and develop a mailing list
• Create a calendar for upcoming and relevant events in the fashion industry
• Assist and generally support the public relations team
Requirements
• Exceptional computer skills and proficiency in Excel
• Outstanding writing skills and proofreading skills
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of current and upcoming trends in the industry
• Passionate about the fashion industry and eager to learn more about public relations
• Major plus if you have previous experience in the fashion industry or have a good understanding of Fashion GPS software
• Current student or recent graduate (university credit available, but not required)
