Kilgore Bass Anglers resume in January

The Kilgore Bass Anglers, an area bass fishing club that holds regular meetings and tournaments nearby, will resume meetings and fishing in January, the group told the herald of news.

Regular monthly meetings will resume on Monday 2nd January at 6.30pm at The Back Porch restaurant in Kilgore.

The club fishes one tournament per month on Saturday or Sunday from January to October. In 2022, the Kilgore Bass Anglers started their season with 18 teams, and ended with around 12 eligible for the year-end classic. Tournaments are team format, but allow anglers to fish alone – just pay the $50 team entry fee.

Kilgore Bass Anglers also promote good sportsmanship, as well as all the ingredients of integrity, competitiveness, camaraderie and high ideals in the sport of fishing.
