Position # 1 – Site Coach for Age Groups

The Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club (GPAC), a member of USA and Southeastern Swimming, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Site Coach.

Duties: The candidate must be an enthusiastic motivator with a love for the sport who is able to work well with children and be able to communicate well with swimmers and their parents. The candidate should also be willing to be a full member of a coaching team and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates must be able to train within a pre-established training progression for athletes. Other administrative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, meeting registrations, meeting operations, daily office duties, marketing and special projects. Primary coaching duties will be with age group swimmers (PM workouts), but a few workouts per week will be as an Assistant Senior Coach (AM workouts). Candidates will be on the bridge between 25 and 30 hours per week and will train 8 to 10 workouts per week for 6 days.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain all of the requirements for USA Swimming coaches. (Obligatory)
  • College diploma (preferred),
  • Competitive swimming experience (mandatory),
  • Swimming coaching experience (required), preferably with a USA or YMCA swim team, ASCA level 2 certification (preferred)
  • Experience with Team Unify platform, Hy-Tek software, Colorado timing equipment, Microsoft Office products and Google Drive. (obligatory)
  • Driver’s license and automobile for travel. (obligatory)
  • Ability to move heavy equipment to set up a swim competition or as needed
  • Other tasks on request

Compensation:

  • Salary range ($ 33,000 – $ 38,000) based on ASCA level, diploma, knowledge and experience
  • All coaches receive a cell phone allowance and may receive bonuses based on team performance.
  • Full-time positions offer additional benefits such as health insurance and pension contributions.
  • GPAC will also reimburse appropriate meeting fees, professional certifications and coach memberships.
  • GPAC provides $ 1,500 for moving expenses
  • The total compensation package is between ($ 41,000 – $ 46,000)

Position # 2 – Office Administrator and PT Coach

Office administrator

We need an office administrator with skills, experience and common sense to be the backbone of day-to-day operations. To thrive in this role, you will need to enjoy variety, work independently, be a problem solver, think critically, communicate well, and be super organized. We are looking for a motivated person with a proven track record in office administration.

Take responsibility for the smooth running of our small office where your professionalism, initiative and office skills will be welcome. You will have plenty of room to get creative and we are open to new ideas.

Your office role will be to provide a full range of office management tasks, including:

  • Daily office management
  • Provide administrative support to staff
  • Account management, payroll administration, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Production of reports and educational files
  • Marketing and social media missions
  • Support for swimming competitions and social events
  • Other tasks on request

Applicants must have:

  • Strong knowledge of business administration and finance
  • Accounting skills with a high degree of accuracy and solidity experience with QuickBooks
  • Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel & Publisher and Google Drive. (obligatory)
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • A positive disposition

Swimming coach

Candidates must be able to train within a pre-established training progression for athletes. Other administrative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, meeting registrations, meeting operations, daily office duties, marketing and special projects. Coaching duties may include PM training with age group swimmers and / or AM training with senior swimmers. Candidates will be on the bridge between 10 and 15 hours per week and will train 3 to 4 workouts per week for 6 days.
