Early voting announces weekend program

(Seguin) – Voters are reminded that early voting continues throughout this weekend. Polling places, however, will be closed on Monday, February 21 due to the President’s Day holiday. Since Monday, when early voting for the Republican and Democratic primary on March 1, 2022 began, there have been a total of 2,242 votes cast for the two polls.

The election includes the gubernatorial race as well as a host of other statewide and countywide races.

We remind voters that upon entering the polling location, they will be required to choose a ballot in which to cast. Indeed, during this round, the candidates will seek to obtain their nominations for the Republican or Democratic party.

The winners of the primary, if contested, will then face their challenger in November.

Early voting will take place today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday February 19 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Again, after Monday’s recess, the early voting schedule will resume on Tuesday. February 22 and will continue until Friday, February 25 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Any registered voter in Guadalupe County can advance vote at any of the following locations. They include the Seguin Elections Office; Cibolo #2 fire station; Central Texas Technology Center; Redemptive Grace Ministries; Berlin’s New Town Hall and Schertz Election Office Annex.

Voters will need to use their photo ID when they arrive at the polling station. Individuals can use an expired license if less than four years old.

Sample ballots may also be brought to assist the voter in casting their electronic ballot. Sample ballots are currently available on the county elections website or can be picked up at the elections office.
