Cassie Lynn Damewood, 70, died unexpectedly on August 15, 2022 at her home in San Leandro, California. Cassie was born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 27, 1952, and moved to Toronto, Ohio with her family when she was little. She graduated from Jefferson Union High School and later attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in creative writing.
Cassie moved to California shortly after college with no job waiting for her, no money, and no friends or family to support her. But she was desperate to put a lot of miles between her and her Ohio roots, and she never came back. His jobs ranged from selling leather goods as a street vendor and waiting tables to office jobs and catering gigs. Writing has always been his primary passion. She has owned and operated Adept Enterprises, a professional and creative resume writing business, for over 20 years and has produced work for numerous websites and online platforms including TheRichest, SheKnows, Hunker, Paste Magazine, LoveToKnow and many others.
Family and friends will remember her for her quick wit, her tenacity and endless positivity, and her ability to make them laugh one moment and want to get as far away from her as possible the next.
