There will be free parking on Fridays after 1 p.m. and on Saturdays all day in December at Sewickley, including December 31st and January 1st. Regular app and pricing will resume on January 3.

Food collection

Caliente Pizza & Draft House in Sewickley is holding a food drive until December 23. Customers can drop off cans at the back of Beaver Street or give them to a delivery driver.

The cans will then be donated to the Network of Hope Food Bank at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Bank, located in Hampton. For three donated canned goods, customers will receive a Caliente coupon for free cheese bread.

“It’s a tough time for a lot of families, especially with all the challenges that covid has caused. We look forward to the food drive every year, but we hope this one will be very special,” said Nick Bogacz. , owner and founder of Caliente.

Old economic village

On December 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Old Economy Village located in Ambridge, will allow children and adults to meet Belsnickel.

In German culture, Belsnickel is the keeper of the ugly and kind book of St. Nicholas (Father Christmas). Kids will have the chance to make crafts, have a snack, and meet Belsnickel to see if they’re on the bad guy or the good guy list. The program is $ 5 per child and $ 5 per adult. Greater Pittsburgh Commercial Connection

The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a benchmark group of business professionals, will meet on December 22 at Eat N ‘Park on Route 60 in Robinson Township for breakfast from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The Ohio Valley Lines Model Railroad will host a series of open house events: December 18-28, December 26, January 1-2, and January 8-9.
