JOB SUMMARY:
The ASCA Director of Communications and Education develops and executes strategic initiatives that provide training, communication, professional development and certification to swimming coaches. This position reports to the CEO.
The director is responsible for:
- Develop and manage cutting-edge continuing education and certification programs that utilize the latest technology and strive to raise the bar of coaching excellence and professionalism.
- Oversee the online and live digital broadcast of all educational offerings.
- Develop and produce effective and state-of-the-art communication strategies, including management of ASCA websites, social media, emails and other digital communications.
- Schedule and deliver top-notch coach education opportunities in live, recorded, and live-in-person online formats.
- Assist in the implementation of an effective system for processing and monitoring training and certification offers.
- Produce reports and analyzes on training and member communications.
- Administer innovative strategies to engage coaches in ASCA initiatives and in the professionalization of coaching.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new and existing programs that provide mentoring, networking, collaboration, recognition and support to all segments of ASCA members.
EXPERIENCE:
The following experiment is preferred:
- Swimming coach
- Content creation and strategic implementation of email (MailChimp), social media and website
- Manage and work with content management systems such as WordPress, Wix and Whova (event application software)
- Recording and editing for educational purposes using editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Online learning management systems
- Teach and / or train adults
- Web server management (Plesk) and website management
- Ecommerce and payment platforms such as WooCommerce and Stripe
