The attorneys general cite Wentz's involvement in opposing the Willow drilling project in Alaska, where she advocated for the rapid phase-out of fossil fuels to prevent catastrophic global warming. They also point to the inclusion of work from an attorney who represented the city of Honolulu in cases against traditional energy firms.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Hilgers emphasized the need for complex scientific evidence to be presented impartially. He expressed concern that the FJC's new science manual appears to embed the views of climate activists and diversity, equity, and inclusion ideologues into what is supposed to be neutral guidance.
"Nebraskans, and all Americans, deserve courts that are neutral and fair," Hilgers stated.
